Common Treatment Questions
Teen treatment is very effective for helping teens uncover to the root cause of their mental health issues and gain the tools they need to manage symptoms and thrive in life again.
Teen therapy typically takes place on a weekly basis. For residential treatment, teens live on site and take part in a structured schedule that includes clinical and experiential therapies as well as an educational component. Outpatient treatment offers flexible daily schedule that allows patients to return home in the evening.
At New Beginnings, our gender-responsive teen mental health centers treat teens according to their gender identity, recognizing them as their authentic selves.
Seeking treatment can help your child process unresolved trauma and develop the tools they need to learn emotion regulation, build healthy relationships, set boundaries, and improve self-worth.
You can expect a supportive and confidential environment where a mental health professional will provide a combination of interviews, questionnaires, and potentially behavioral observations to gather information about your teen’s mental health, symptoms, and overall functioning. The evaluation helps determine a diagnosis and informs their treatment plan.
Newport works with several major insurance providers to optimize care, including Optum, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kaiser Permanente, TRICARE, and more.
Evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR provide a comprehensive approach to addressing the diverse mental health needs of adolescents, providing the tools to process trauma, build resilience, and improve emotional well-being.
